Unfortunately, though, we seem to have picked a bad time for it – it’s *very* cold out there…įranco-Swiss writer Elisa Shua Dusapin’s Winter in Sokcho (translated by Aneesa Abbas-Higgins) has already seen releases in the UK and the US, and given that it’s received a lot good reviews, it’s great that it’s now available in Australia. Today’s choice also has a Korean theme, as we head off to spend some time by the sea. They now have a presence in both the UK and the US, and even if their list does seem more weighted towards non-fiction, I’ve enjoyed several of their books, including a few by Korean writer Hwang Sok-yong. ![]() While not all translated fiction gets picked up for an Australian release, there are a few small publishers who do put books out, and one of the most prominent is Scribe Publications. ![]()
